I'm sorry that I haven't kept up with posting reports on every game. I have had a little trouble with my computer. After looking back through the books we have shown some improvements even though we dont have wins to show for them. In the last 2 games we have hit the ball better than in the first 4 and have shown much improvement on pitching. Bailey and Kameron both got the start pitching in the last 2 games and both had impressive showings. Morgan and Chase have both done outstanding jobs coming in and finishing the games off for us. Players getting hits in our last 2 games were: Austin Slayton, Nick Lewis, Kyle Horton, Chase Jenninings, Morgan Ray, Jerry Burns, Dax Handy, Kameron Jimmerson, and Austin Teal. Keep up the good work guys. If I missed someone that got a hit I appologize please let me know so that I can make the correction.

What a tough loss we took against the Red Sox (16-1). This was one of those games that goes to prove you must be prepared mentally as well as physically. Taking nothing away from an outstanding team the Red Sox pitcher Stone Alexander was on the mark striking out 7 of the 11 batters he faced never giving us a chance to get completely through our line-up. On the other side of the coin we managed to walk 15 batters in three innings allowing them to move players around the bases and work their way through their line-up three times. We had no hits and only three players on base which permitted us to score only one run. On my own bad call I sent Kameron to second way too late and was responsible for his being thrown out. Maybe this was just the kind of loss we needed to take in order to find out what kind of team we can become, sometimes you have to lose a few in order to start winning. Ok guys hold your heads up high and let’s prepare for Friday’s game against the D’Backs.

A Tough Loss On A Cold Night |
The Cubs took their first loss 12 to 5 during a long cold weathered battle against a really talented Rangers team from Sand Rock. Morgan Ray pitched 3 innings against the Rangers hard hitters and he accounted for 7 of 9 outs in those 3 innings by way of strike outs. We continued to look good as far as baserunning skills and worked to keep the Rangers confused enough to get several runs in. Offensively we still have room for improvement on our hitting; however, I expect to see some improvement as the season moves forward. Those making contact with the ball Tuesday night was Morgan Ray, Chase Jennings, Tyler Wells and Austin Teal. Austin Teal’s hit was the only one that resulted in a base hit, good job Austin. Chase Jennings did an excellent job once again at the catcher’s position and made a great catch during the fourth inning catching a foul pop up. Kameron Jimmerson took the mound for the first time in his minor league career and went 3 up 3 down with the assistance of Chase’s great catch followed by back to back strike outs. Cubs hold your heads up high as we press forward during what is still stacked up to be another tough opponent Thursday night against the O’s of Centre.
